Beloved Sampson;
Sampson will be remembered as a love bug and also a true blue snuggle man. He will be held tightly in his guardian's heart. He was the main snuggle bug in the house. He loved to sleep with his breath resonating in his owner's ear. For being a chunky monkey he still loved to sit in front of his heater when he got cold. After coming in from a brisk romp in the backyard he would make a bee line to his heater to warm his bum. Also loved the hair dryer- begged for me to blow him with it. Sampson would make the most adorable pig noises, you couldn't help but giggle once you realized who was making the noises. Loved his walks - would sit by the door and beg to go. He had quite the appetite, better than most any other dog on the planet. His food of choice was hamburger, veggies, rice, yogurt, occasional peanut butter and jelly. Yes she knew that wasn't on his special diet, but how could you turn down such a face? He also was a lover of sour cream & onion chips. Sampson would love nothing better than chips in his PB&J sandwich, crunched up of course. He also had killer gas that would peel the paint off of walls, mainly attributed to his favorite chips. He relished his aloe massages for his itchy skin. He did his famous pig grunts the entire time.
He still thought at 51 pounds and seven months that he could fit on his owners lap. Little did the chunky monkey know that he was a big boy. He also got to drive the SUV every once in awhile, but he was easily distracted when a good song came on the radio. That's when his guardian angel would take over the wheel so they didn't get pulled over. Imagine if a police officer pulled over the SUV and saw Sampson driving?
Sampson will be forever remembered as the blue boy with a heart of gold, his crooked tail and his beloved pig noises.
Sampson passed over the bridge on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in his guardian's arms snoring like a trooper |
